The Corning Chamber of Commerce and the City of Corning Recreation invite the community to the Annual "Corning Does It Bedder" Bed Races during closing night of the Tuesday Night Market on October 6, with the race start time at 6PM. The Market operates from 5 - 8PM. Bed Racing Teams are still needed, it's FREE to enter. Teams consist of 4 people and switch riders halfway through and change t-shirts. It can be your logo shirt, or anything else you'd like to wear. This is a fun way to advertise your business or organization, as your logo can be on the bed. There will be prizes and bragging rights for the winners. The Corning Chamber of Commerce invites the community to our Annual Trick or Treat Street, to be held on FRIDAY, October 30 from 2 - 5PM with businesses participating citywide. This event has grown every year with over 100 businesses participating from all over the city and upwards of 1500 kids and adults coming through in their costumes. Underway right now is the City of Corning Recreation's "Haunted House Decorating Contest" with participants also needing to be within city limits. Judging will take place on October 30th after dark. During Trick or Treat Street, the city will also have their Annual Decorated Pumpkin Judging Contest, with the various city hall departments vying for first place with your votes, 794 Third Street. And the Corning Animal Care Clinic, 2023 Solano St, is offering "Treats for your four legged critters and their friends." The owner, Rosie Floers, is the one who started Trick or Treat Street 12 years ago . Any Corning business located within city limits is welcome to participate. Tehama County PAL's Superhero Bunco is a fun-filled fundraiser benefiting the Kathy Hausman Memorial Scholarship.
