The 31st Annual Cowboy and Cowgirl Poetry night will take place April 15, 6pm at the Tehama District Fairgrounds Auditorium. Western poets of all ages are invited to take the mike and share their favorite traditional, modern or original poems and songs about the Western way of life, just as cowboys of the old West did sitting around their campfires telling stories of their experiences of the day often in song or as poems in a rhyming style that became a form of folk art. The Cowboy & Cowgirl Poetry Night will be held as part of the Red Bluff Round-Up events and is sponsored by the Tehama County arts Council. To participate, call (530) 278-5691 or go to www.tehamaarts.org. Registration and admission are free.
