Cheng2 Duo (pronounced Cheng power 2) is distinguished by its accomplished musicality, operative chemistry and subtle communication, who settles with the listeners. The Chinese-Canadian brother and sister duo are made up of cellist Bryan Cheng, 23, first cellist winner of the 2019 OSM Competition Grand Prize – in possession of the Bonjour Stradivarius (c. 1696) from the Canada Council for the Arts – and the pianist Silvie Cheng, who received the Roy M. Rubinstein Award for her exceptional potential as a performer.
