Artist Sandi Palmer loves to paint for the fun of it! She has a passion for nurturing other artists and encouraging them to do the same. Palmer and her friends are the featured artists for the Main Event Gallery's exhibit, "Enlightenment: A Passion To Share," March 11-April 2. Come meet the artists at the reception Friday, March 11, 5:30 – 8:00 pm, 710 Main Street, Red Bluff. Palmer is a highly accomplished artist in many mediums. Her engaging personality, enthusiasm and positive attitude draws artists in to take her weekly art classes, held in her Cottonwood home studio. Sandi loves experimenting with new ideas for her students to try, painting right along with them." She is always encouraging her students by saying, "Just jump into it, have no fear, and have yourself a good time!" " I love teaching my people and passing along what I know, much more so than me painting myself. I am very proud of my students' works, so they will be exhibiting with me." Both Sandi's parents had an artistic flair, so she taught them how to paint and some of her father's art in the show. "Art is not just painting. It is a passion and to me is a gathering of friends," said Palmer. "I see so many healing forces in it. It's probably one of the greatest therapies in the world.
