RED BLUFF, Calif. – California State Parks and its partner, Ide Adobe Interpretive Association, invite you to get in the holiday spirit with Holidays on the Homestead at William B. Ide Adobe State Historic Park (SHP). The park’s 45th annual festive winter tradition will be celebrated on Saturday, December 14 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The public is invited to join us for a day of festivities, music, and making ornaments and gifts: Enjoy living history demonstrations, with staff and volunteers dressed in 1850s clothing to greet visitors. St. Nicholas will be at the homestead to hear holiday wishes from children. Visitors can make handmade gifts, including tin punch, dried orange ornaments, candles, tops, yarn crafts, and rag dolls. Warm wassail and treats will be served. Local musicians will provide entertainment. Children will clamor to break a traditional Christmas bag! Holidays on the Homestead is fun for families and friends of all ages. Admission for adults is $6, children 3 years and older is $3, and children under 3 are free. Families (up to 5 guests) are $15.
