Workshop includes discussion of: State & Federal labor laws & regulations regarding employees & the necessary record keeping needed to comply with these requirements; summary of independent contractors vs. employees requirements; focus on what employers are required to provide new employees; what should be kept in employees’ files and specifics regarding legal tax forms, overtime, and work-weeks. Examples of processing payroll functions will be demonstrated with the use of QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) and QuickBooks Online (QBO), including discussion of e-filing both payroll taxes and forms right out of QuickBooks.
